passive-interface default
The passive-interface default command enables the global passive mode by default for all 
interfaces. It overrides any interface level passive mode. Use the “no” form of this command to 
disable the global passive mode by default for all interfaces. Any interface previously configured 
to be passive reverts to non-passive mode.
Syntax
passive-interface default
no passive-interface default
Default Configuration
Global passive mode is disabled by default.
Command Mode
Router OSPF Configuration mode.
User Guidelines
There are no user guidelines for this command.
Example
console(config-router)#passive-interface
passive-interface
Use the passive-interface command to set the interface as passive. It overrides the global passive 
mode that is currently effective on the interface. Use the “no” form of this command to set the 
interface as non-passive.
