redistribute
Use the redistribute command in Router OSPF Configuration mode to configure OSPF
protocol to allow redistribution of routes from the specified source protocol/routers. Use the no
version of the command to disable redistribution from the selected source or to reset options to
their default values.
Syntax
redistribute {rip | static | connected} [metric
integer
] [metric-type {1 | 2}] [tag

no redistribute {rip | static | connected} [metric

] [metric-type {1 | 2}] [tag

rip
— Specifies RIP as the source protocol.
•
static
— Specifies that the source is a static route.
•
connected
— Specifies that the source is a directly connected route.
•
metric
— Specifies the metric to use when redistributing the route. (Range: 0–16777214)
•
metric-type 1
— Type 1 external route.
•
metric-type 2
— Type 2 external route.
•
tag
— Value attached to each external route, which might be used to communicate
information between ASBRs. (Range: 0–4294967295)
•
subnets
— Specifies whether to redistribute the routes to subnets.
Default Configuration
0 is the tag integer default configuration.

Router OSPF Configuration mode.
