Syntax

Time in seconds that the switch should wait for a response to an 
EAP-request/identity frame from the client before resending the request.
(Range: 1–65535)
Default Configuration
The period of time is set to 30 seconds.

User Guidelines
Change the default value of this command only to adjust for unusual circumstances, such as 
unreliable links or specific behavioral problems with certain clients and authentication servers.
Example
The following command sets the number of seconds that the switch waits for a response to an 
EAP-request/identity frame to 3600 seconds.
console(config)# interface ethernet 1/g16
console(config-if-1/g16)# dot1x timeout tx-period 3600
show dot1x
Use the show dot1x command in Privileged EXEC mode to display 802.1X status for the switch 
or for the specified interface.
