Default Configuration
Disabled is the default configuration.
Command Mode
Router OSPF Configuration mode.
User Guidelines
This command has no user guidelines.
Example
The following example prevents the Summary LSA from being advertised into the area 3 NSSA.
console(config-router)#area 3 stub no-summary
area virtual-link
Use the area virtual-link command in Router OSPF Configuration mode to create the OSPF
virtual interface for the specified area-id and neighbor router. To remove the link, use the no
form of the command.
Syntax

virtual-link
neighbor-id
no area

virtual-link
neighbor-id
area-id
— Identifies the OSPF area to configure. (Range: IP address or decimal from
0–65535)
neighbor-id
— Valid IP address.

This command has no default configuration.

Example
The following example creates an OSPF virtual interface for area 10 and neighbor router.
console(config-router)#area 10 virtual-link 192.168.2.2
