PIM-SM Commands
This section describes the commands you use to configure Protocol Independent Multicast -
Sparse Mode (PIM-SM). PIM-SM is a multicast routing protocol that provides scalable inter-
domain multicast routing across the Internet, independent of the mechanisms provided by any
particular unicast routing protocol.
ip pimsm(Global Config)
This command is used to administratively enable PIM-SM multicast routing mode on the router.
no ip pimsm(Global Config)
This command is used to administratively disable PIM-SM multicast routing mode on the router.
ip pimsm(Interface Config)
This command is used to administratively enable PIM-SM multicast routing mode on a particular
router interface.
