Command Mode
Global Config
This command sets the virtual router ID on an interface for Virtual Router configuration in the
router.
Syntax
ip vrrp <1-255>
no ip vrrp <1-255>
<1-255> - The range of virtual router ID is 1 to 255.
<no> - This command removes all VRRP configuration details of the virtual router
configured on a specific interface.

This commands also designates the configured virtual router IP address as a secondary IP
address on an interface.
Syntax
ip vrrp <1-255> ip <addr> [secondary]
no ip vrrp <1-255> ip <addr> [secondary]

<addr> - Secondary IP address of the router ID.
<no> - This command removes all VRRP configuration details of the virtual router
