9.5.2.4 default-metric
This command is used to set a default for the metric of distributed routes.
Syntax
default-metric <1-15>
no default-metric
<1-15> - a value for default-metric.
<no> - This command is used to reset the default metric of distributed routes to its default
value.

This command sets the route preference value of RIPng in the router. Lower route preference
values are preferred when determining the best route.
Syntax
distance rip <1-255>
no distance rip
<1-255> - the value for distance.
<no> - This command sets the default route preference value of RIPng in the router.
