Deserial Serial Peripheral Interface (DSPI)
20.1 Introduction
This chapter describes the deserial serial peripheral interface (DSPI), which provides a synchronous serial
bus for communication between the MCU and an external peripheral device.
Microcontroller chips in the MPC55xx family implement different DSPI modules. Some implement DSPI
A, B, C, and D, and others implement only B, C, and D, for example. The “x” appended to signal names
signifies the module to which the signal applies. Thus PCSx[0] specifies that the PCS signal applies to
module A, B, and so on.
