If no broadcast/multicast addresses have been configured, add addresses as needed. For more information, refer
to Section 5.12.12.2, “Adding a Broadcast/Multicast Address”.

Adding a Broadcast/Multicast Address
To add a broadcast/multicast address for an NTP server, do the following:
IMPORTANT!
It is strongly recommended to enable NTP authentication, unless all hosts on the network are trusted.
1. If necessary, make sure a server authentication key has been configured with the broadcast/multicast setting
to enable NTP authentication. For more information, refer to Section 5.12.13.2, “Adding a Server Key”.
2. Change the mode to Edit Private or Edit Exclusive.
3. Navigate to services » time » ntp » broadcast and click <Add broadcast>. The Key Settings form
appears.

4. Configure the following parameter(s) as required:
IMPORTANT!
The broadcast/multicast address must be the same as the address for the NTP multicast client.
Parameter Description
Broadcast/Multicast IP Address Synopsis: The ip-address type represents an IP address and is IP version neutral.
The format of the textual representations implies the IP version.
The broadcast or multicast address.
5. Click Add to create the new address. The NTP Broadcast/Multicast Servers form appears.
