To change the computer name
1. Press the [SETUP] key and select the "System" tab.
The current computer name is displayed and can be edited.
2. Alternatively, tap "System" on the "System" tab.
3. Select "Change", enter the new computer name and confirm the entry.
Using a DNS server to determine the IP address
If a DNS server is configured on the R&S RTE, the server can determine the current IP
address for the connection using the permanent computer name.
1. Obtain the name of your DNS domain and the IP addresses of the DNS and WINS
servers on your network.
2. Press the [SETUP] key.
3. Select the "System" tab.
4. Tap "Network".
5. Select "Ethernet".
6. On the "Networking" tab, select "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)", and then
select "Properties".
