5.5.3 Setup for passive probes
Passive probes are the most widely used probes for oscilloscope measurements. Pas-
sive probes require compensation.

The following shared probe settings are available:
"Type, Name, Bandwidth" on page 195
"Detect AutoZero, Use AutoZero" on page 195
"External attenuation: Scale, Attenuation" on page 196
If a passive probe is connected, the probe attenuation is read out and shown in the
"Setup" tab:
"Probe unit, Auto attenuation" on page 197
If you need to change the unit or attenuation, change the "Mode" to "Manual" and enter
the correct values.

Mode
Defines how the attenuation of a passive probe is set.
"Auto"
The instrument uses the values that are read out from the probe.
"Manual"
You can define the attenuation unit and value.
