To measure and display the power quality, the instrument uses the following measure-
ments and waveforms:
"Meas 6" to measure the voltage
"Meas 7" to measure the current
"Meas 8" to measure the power
"M2" "Math 2" to calculate the power

Voltage and current results
The voltage and current results are defined as follows:
Result Description
RMS Square root of the mean of the square of the current
or voltage averaged over N cycles
Peak Highest measured magnitude value of the voltage or
current
Crest factor Peak value / RMS value
Frequency Frequency of the signal
Power results
The power in a system is described by several physical quantities: real power, reactive
power, complex power, and phase angle. In Figure 16-1, you can see how these quan-
tities are related if the voltage and the current are sinusoidal signals.
