19.3.2.2 Peripheral Input Select Registers

The ASC0/ASC1 modules include a peripheral input select register that is used to switch

the RXD input lines of the ASC0/ASC1 module kernels alternatively to Port 5 or Port 6

as shown in Table 19-14. Register ASC0_PISEL controls the RXD input selection for

ASC0, and ASC1_PISEL controls the RXD input selection for ASC1.
