VRRPv3 (IPv4 / IPv6)
This section describes the commands relevant for working with routing with VRRPv3.
Version 3 of VRRP is based on version 2.
Note
•
Enable routing to be able to use VRRPv3.
•
The commands are only available with layer 3 and only in conjunction with VLAN
interfaces. Router ports are not supported.
•
Simultaneous operation of VRRP and VRRPv3 is not possible.
•
VRRPv3 supports IPv4 and IPv6. Both can be configured and operated at the same time
with VRRP3.
VRRP and DHCP server
If you want to operate a DHCP server on the devices of a VRRP group, the DHCP server
must be configured on the master router. Backup routers do not react to DHCP queries.
Make sure that the master router is statically configured and that after a failure, becomes the
master of the VRRP group again.

clear vrrp3 statistics
Description
With this command, you reset the counters to zero.
Requirement
You are in the Privileged EXEC mode.
The command prompt is as follows:

Syntax
Call the command without parameter assignment:
clear vrrp3 statistics
Result
The counters are reset.
