● If you exit the VRRP3 Router configuration mode with the
exit command, you return to
the Interface configuration mode.
● If you exit the VRRP3 Router configuration mode with the
end command, you return to the
Privileged EXEC mode.
vrrp accept-mode
Description
With this command, you enable the ping function for virtual IPv6 addresses on the VRRP3
interface.
is available only with layer 3.
● An IP address is assigned to the virtual router.
● You are in the VRRP3 Interface configuration mode.
The command prompt is as follows:
cli(config-vrrp-v3-if-$$$)#
Call up the command with the following parameters:
vrrp <vrid(1-255)> accept-mode
The parameter has the following meaning:
The ping function to virtual IPv6 addresses is enabled.
You disable the ping function for virtual IPv6 addresses with the no vrrp accept-mode
command.
You assign IP addresses to a virtual router with the
vrrp associated-ip command.
You can display the status of the function with the
show vrrp3 or with the show vrrp3
interface
command.
