Example
This example shows how to display the edge port status for ge.3.2:
C3(su)->show spantree adminedge port ge.3.2
Port
ge.3.2 has a Port Admin Edge of Edge-Port
set spantree adminedge
Use this command to set the edge port administrative status on a Spanning Tree port.
Syntax
set spantree adminedge port-string {true | false}
Parameters
Defaults
None.
Mode
Switch command, read-write.
Usage
The default behavior of the edge port administrative status begins with the value set to false
initially after the device is powered up. If a Spanning Tree BDPU is not received on the port within
a few seconds, the status setting changes to true.
Example
This example shows how to set ge.1.11 as an edge port:
C3(su)->set spantree adminedge ge.1.11 true
clear spantree adminedge
Use this command to reset a Spanning Tree port to non-edge status.
Syntax
clear spantree adminedge port-string
port-string Specifies the edge port. For a detailed description of possible port-string
values, refer to “Port String Syntax Used in the CLI” on page 11-1.
true | false Enables (true) or disables (false) the specified port as a Spanning Tree edge
port.
