Bit Field Type Reset Description
0 RUN RS 0h Channel Run Bit: Writing a 1 to this bit starts the DMA channel.
The RUNSTS bit is set to 1.
This bit is also used to take the device out of HALT.
The RUN bit is typically used to start the DMA running after you
have configured the DMA.
It will then wait for the first interrupt event (PERINTFLG == 1) to start
operation.
The RUN bit can also be used to take the DMA channel out of a
HALT condition See Figure 8-5 for the various positions the state
machine can be at when HALTED.
