3.2 ip address
This command configures the IP address and subnet mask for the default interface.
ip address [<ip-address> | <ip-address>/prefix-length] [<subnet-mask>]
no ip address
Syntax Description
ip address - IP address
subnet-mask - Subnet Mask
prefix-length – Subnet mask as a prefix number
Mode
Global Configuration Mode
Defaults
ip address – 192.168.100.2
subnet-mask - 255.255.255.0
Example
SMIS(config)# ip address 20.0.0.1/8
