31.9 area - default-metric type
This command sets the default metric-type for an area type of NSS/stub only.
area <area-id> default-metric type <metricType(1-3)>
Syntax Description
area-id - A 32 bit integer
default-metric type - Type of metric

metricType - 1
Example
SMIS(config-router)# area 1.1.1.1 default-metric type 2
Default metric can be defined only for a valid area.
