25.5 neighbor
This command adds a neighbor router and the no form of the command deletes a neighbor
router.
neighbor <ip address>
no neighbor <ip address>
Syntax Description
ip-address - IP address of the neighbor router

Example
SMIS(config-router)# neighbor 10.0.0.5
This command permits the point-to-point (no broadcast) exchange of routing information. When it
is used in combination with the passive-interface router configuration command, routing
information can be exchanged between a subset of routers and access servers on a LAN.
Multiple neighbor commands can be used to specify additional neighbors or peers.
Note: This configuration will not result in sending unicast routing information to neighbors.
