27.37 neighbor - password
This command configures the password for TCP-MD5 authentication with peer. The no form of
the command resets the TCP-MD5 password set for the peer.
neighbor <ip-address> password <password-string>
no neighbor <ip-address> password
Syntax Description
ip-address - IP address of the BGP peer
password - The password that needs to be used for TCP-MD5 authentication with the peer
Mode
Router Configuration Mode
Example
SMIS(config-router)# neighbor 10.0.0.2 password abcdef
BGP Speaker Local AS number must be configured.
Peer must have been created.
