26.4 area - translation-role
This command configures the translation role for the NSSA and the no form of the command
configures the default translation role for the NSSA.
area <area-id> translation-role { always | candidate }
no area <area-id> translation-role
Syntax Description
area-id - Area associated with the OSPF address range. It is specified as an IP address
translation-role - An NSSA Border router's ability to perform NSSA Translation of Type-7
LSAs to Type-5 LSAs.

SMIS(config-router)# area 10.0.0.1 translation-role always
Type-5 LSAs- Originated by AS boundary routers, and flooded through-out the AS. Each
AS-external-LSA describes a route to a destination in another Autonomous System.
Default routes for the AS can also be described by AS-external-LSAs.
