24.1 router vrrp
This command enables VRRP in the router and is used to enter the VRRP Configuration Mode
The no form of the command disables VRRP in the router.
router vrrp
no router vrrp

VRRP is disabled by default
Example
SMIS(config)# router vrrp
Enabling the VRRP router will transition the state of the virtual router from 'initialize' to 'backup' or
'master' (Initialize indicates that the virtual router is waiting for a startup event.
Backup indicates that the virtual router is monitoring the availability of the master router.
Master indicates that the virtual router is forwarding the packets for IP addresses that are
associated with this router.).
Disabling the VRRP router will transition the state from 'backup' or 'master' to 'initialize'. State
transitions may not be immediate but may depend on other factors such as the interface state.
