24.4 vrrp - priority
This command sets the priority for the virtual router. The no form of the command sets the priority
for the virtual router to default value.
vrrp <vrid(1-255)> priority <priority(1-254)>
no vrrp <vrid(1-255)> priority
Syntax Description
vrid - Virtual Router ID
priority - Priority used for the virtual router master election process

Defaults
priority - 100
Example
SMIS(config-vrrp-if)# vrrp 3 priority 7
Higher values imply higher priority.
A priority of 255 is used for the router that owns the associated IP address (es).
The command vrrp <vrid(1-255)> ipv4 <ip address> must be entered for the current
interface (with the proper vrid) before the execution of this command.
