Keysight InfiniiVision 4000 X-Series Oscilloscopes Programmer's Guide 63
Command Differences From 3000 X-Series Oscilloscopes
The Keysight InfiniiVision 4000 X-Series oscilloscopes command set is most
closely related to the InfiniiVision 3000 X-Series oscilloscopes (and the
7000A/B Series, 6000 Series, and 54620/54640 Series oscilloscopes before them).
The main differences between the version 3.00 programming command set for the
InfiniiVision 4000 X-Series oscilloscopes and the 2.10 programming command set
for the InfiniiVision 3000 X-Series oscilloscopes are related to:
• Zone qualified trigger feature.
• USB 2.0 triggering and serial decode options (which replace the old
:TRIGger:USB commands).
• Two-channel built-in waveform generator (with Option WGN license) instead of
one channel.
• Support for modulation of the waveform generator output on WaveGen1.
• A couple new built-in demo signals (with the education kit).
• Four reference waveforms (instead of two).
• Four math functions (instead of g(t) and f(t)).
• Touchscreen, sidebar, and display related command additions.
•Measure cursors mode.
• Support for controlling the digital voltmeter analysis feature.
• Power measurements application modifications.
More detailed descriptions of the new, changed, obsolete, and discontinued
commands appear below.
