ip ftp password
Specify a password for outgoing FTP connections.
C-Series, E-Series, S-Series, Z-Series
Syntax
ip ftp password [encryption-type] password
To remove a password and return to the default setting, use the no ip ftp password
[password] command.
Parameters
encryption-type
(OPTIONAL) Enter one of the following numbers:
0 (zero) for an unecrypted (clear text) password
7 (seven) for a hidden text password
password
Enter a string up to 40 characters as the password.
Defaults Not configured.

Information
The password is listed in the configuration file; you can view the password by entering the
show running-config ftp command.
The password configured by the ip ftp password command is used when you use the
ftp: parameter in the copy command.
