Parameters
memory Enter the keyword memory to copy the current running configuration
to the startup configuration file. This command is similar to the copy
running-config startup-config command.
terminal Enter the keyword terminal to copy the current running
configuration to the terminal. This command is similar to the show
running-config command.

Usage
Information
The write memory command saves the running-configuration to the file labeled startup-
configuration. When using a LOCAL CONFIG FILE other than the startup-config not named
“startup-configuration” (for example, you used a specific file during the
boot config
command), the running-config is not saved to that file; use the copy command to save any
running-configuration changes to that local file.
