command to explicitly configure the unit ID of a VLT peer. You must configure a different unit ID
(0 or 1) on each peer switch.
Use this command to minimize the time required for the VLT system to determine the unit ID
assigned to each peer switch when one peer reboots.
vlt domain
Enable VLT on a switch, configure a VLT domain, and enter VLT-domain configuration mode.

Syntax
vlt domain domain-id
Parameters
domain-id
Enter the Domain ID number. You must configure the same domain ID
on the peer switch. The range of domain IDs is 1 to 1000.

Information
The VLT domain ID must be the same between the two VLT devices. If the domain ID is not the
same, a syslog message is generated and VLT does not launch.
