Usage
Information
If you apply a route map to a BGP peer or neighbor with the neighbor default-
originate command configured, the software does not apply the set filters in the route map
to that BGP peer or neighbor.
neighbor description
Assign a character string describing the neighbor or group of neighbors (peer group).
C-Series, E-Series
Syntax
neighbor {ipv6-address | peer-group-name} description text
To delete a description, use the no neighbor {ipv6-address | peer-group-
name} description text command.
Parameters
ipv6-address
Enter the IPv6 address in the x:x:x:x::x format.
NOTE: The :: notation specifies successive hexadecimal fields of
zeros.
peer-group-name
Enter the name of the peer group to set the advertisement interval for
all routers in the peer group.
text
Enter a continuous text string up to 80 characters.
Defaults Not configured.
