Spanning Tree Protocol (STP)
The commands in this chapter configure and monitor the IEEE 802.1d spanning tree protocol (STP) and are supported on
the C-series, E-Series, S-series, Z-Series, or S4810 Dell Force10 switch/routing platforms.
bridge-priority
Set the bridge priority of the switch in an IEEE 802.1D spanning tree.
C-Series, E-Series, S-Series, Z-Series, S4810
Syntax
bridge-priority {priority-value | primary | secondary}
To return to the default value, use the no bridge-priority command.
Parameters
priority-value
Enter a number as the bridge priority value. The range is 0 to 65535.
The default is 32768.
primary Enter the keyword primary to designate the bridge as the root
bridge.
secondary Enter the keyword secondary to designate the bridge as a
secondary root bridge.
Defaults priority-value = 32768
