Thisvaluedeterminesadevice’sCDPdomain.IftwoormoredeviceshavethesameCDP
authenticationcode,theywillbeenteredintoeachotherʹsCDPneighbortables.Iftheyhave
differentauthenticationcodes,theyareindifferentdomainsandwillnotbeenteredintoeach
other’sCDPneighbortables.

enable
Auto‐enables,disablesorenables theCDPprotocolonthespecified
port(s).Inauto‐enablemode,whichisthedefaultmodeforallports,a
portautomaticallybecomesCDP‐enableduponreceivingitsfirstCDP
message.
port‐string (Optional)EnablesordisablesCDPonspecificport(s).For
adetailed
descriptionofpossibleport‐stringvalues,referto“PortStringSyntax
UsedintheCLI”onpage 4 ‐2.
auth‐code SpecifiesanauthenticationcodefortheCDPprotocol.Thiscanbeupto
16hexadecimalvaluesseparatedbycommas.
