Performing a Basic Router Configuration
Using Router-Only Config Files
AlthoughtheEnterasysMatrixSeries’singleconfigurationinterfaceprovidesonesetof
commandstoperformbothswitchandrouterconfiguration,itisstillpossibletouserouter‐only
commandstoconfiguretherouter.Todoso,youneedtoaddrouterconfigwrapperstoyour
existingrouterconfigfiles,asshown
inFigure 16‐1.

Configuring the Router

2. Runtheconfigurecommandusingthedownloadedconfigfileasdescribedin“configure”on

Creating and saving a custom file...
1. Enabletherouterasdescribedin“EnablingRouterConfigurationModes”onpage 2‐103and
configureitmanually.(ReferbacktoFigure 16‐1foranexampleofabasicconfigfile.)
2. Savetheconfigurationusingthewritefilecommandasdescribedin“write”onpage 16‐9.
Moving a Config File from Another Routing Module
Tocopyarouterconfigurationfromonemoduletoanother,proceedasfollows:
