Description
Use the shutdown command to shut down an Ethernet port.
Use the undo shutdown command to turn on Ethernet port.
In certain circumstances, modification to the port parameters does not immediately
take effect, and therefore, you need to shut down the relative port to make the
modification work.
Examples
# Shut down the port Ethernet 2/0/1.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface ethernet 2/0/1
[Sysname-Ethernet2/0/1] shutdown
# Bring up the port Ethernet 2/0/1.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface ethernet 2/0/1
[Sysname-Ethernet2/0/1] undo shutdown
1.1.25 speed
Syntax
