22.3 Web interface
If the R&S
R
T
O6 is connected to a computer via LAN, you can operate the instrument
from a computer. No additional tools are required, you need only a web browser.
22.3.1 Settings on the R&S RTO6
Access: "Menu" > "Settings" > "System" > "Network"
The LAN status icon on the toolbar of the R&S R
TO6 indicates the status of the LAN
connection. A green icon indicates that the instrument is connected to the LAN; a red
symbol indicates an error - mostly the LAN cable is not connected.
The "Network" tab of the "System" dialog box provides network information. See Chap-
ter 4.1.2, "Network settings", on page 68.
Only users with administrator rights can change LAN settings.
22.3.2 Web browser

with administrator rights on the instrument can use the web interface.
1. Open a web browser on the computer
.
2. Type the instrument's host name or IP address in the address field of the browser
on your PC, e.g. "http://10.113.10.203".
