19.6.2 Transient response
The "Transient Response" analysis measures the response of a system to a change
from equilibrium. This response is described by different properties like the rise time,
the overshoot, the settling time, the peak time and the delay time.
Required probes:
One or two voltage probes
Current probe
19.6.2.1 Transient response results
The results of " Power Quality" measurements are provided in two ways:
The diagram shows the graphical presentation of:
the voltage waveforms
the current waveform
The result box displays the numeric measurement results.
To measure and display the transient response, the instrument uses the following mea-
surements and waveforms:
MG 8 to measure the rise time, the overshoot and delay to trigger
"Cu 1" Cursor 3 to measure the peak time
"Cu 2" Cursor 2 to measure the delay to trigger

The results describing the transient response of the system are shown in Figure 19-5
and described in Table 19-6.
