A few moments after power is applied, the first diagnos-
tics screen (Figure 3-4, iNFiNiT!; Figure 3-5, MAX!>;
Figure 3-6, MAXINE!) appears.
When the prompt
Press <MODE SLCT> to load operat-
ing system
appears, you can bypass the remainder of the
self tests and load the OS by pressing the
MODE SLCT
key. If you let the diagnostics finish, the second test
screen comes up after all system RAM has been tested.
During the remainder of the tests, you will see the mes-
sage
Press Any key to ABORT testing. This enables
you to press any key to skip the remaining tests and load
the operating system directly. The entire batch of tests
take about five minutes to complete. When all have
passed, the operating system loads automatically.
