Only certain keyboard keys are
permitted in a Character Placement
Table; other keys (i.e. Color Keys,
Font Keys, etc.) cannot have
characters assigned to them. Figure
18-11 shows the Keyboard ID’s for all
available keys.

To create a custom Character Placement Table, you must
alter a copy of the default table, then record the altered
table using a new name. The default table remains intact.
To start the process for creating a custom Character
Placement Table:
• While in the Font Create main menu, press
CNTL P.
If using an NTSC system, the
STD (Standard) Character
Placement Table (Figure 18-10) is displayed; on a PAL
system, the ITL (International) Character Placement
Table is displayed.
