To distinguish between Preview output as referring to
MAX!> Preview, and the PREVIEW CHANNEL as
referring to the PREVIEW output present on all MAX!>
systems:
Preview as pertains to the Background buffer of an
EEFB is spelled with the first letter upper case (i.e.
Preview), sometimes accompanied by a mention of
the Background buffer.
PREVIEW as pertains to the PREVIEW CHANNEL,
is spelled using all upper case letters.
To distinguish between the background created using the
Background function (
CNTL B) available in Message
Compose, and the Background buffer of the EEFB:
The background created using
CNTL B is referred to
as a scanline background.
The Background buffer of the EEFB is simply called
the Background buffer, possibly with a reference to
Preview or MAX!> Preview.
Foreground (buffer) and AIR are used interchangeably
to specify the Foreground buffer of the EEFB, which out-
puts to the AIR CHANNEL.
