If a short Crawl is sent to the Crawl buffer, it will not
execute until the rest of the buffer fills. The End-of-Data
command (
02) clears the Crawl buffer by immediately
crawling whatever is left in the Crawl buffer. To immedi-
ately execute a Serial Crawl:
[ ] 1. Enter the serial data on the external source.
[ ] 2. Press
Ctrl + B on the external computer
keyboard or send decimal

After the Crawl executes, Serial Crawl is
exited, and the Message Compose main menu
is displayed.

To flush the Crawl buffer without exiting the Serial
Crawl:
• Send enough space characters to clear the buffer of
all other information.

Color, Font, Speed, Ease and other parameters can be
set by sending the codes specified in the tables in this
section when Serial Crawl is active.
Note that these are decimal codes. Unlike the text data
that is sent to be displayed, they do not need to be con-
verted to ASCII code by the PC communications pro-
gram.
