There are thirteen Effect Types: Wipe (also §15.5.1),
Push
(also §15.5.2), Revl (also §15.5.3), Hide (also
§15.5.4),
Dislv (also §15.8.4), Cut (this section), Roll
(also §9.2)
, Crwl (also §9.4), Fade (this section), Wipe1
(this section) and
Push1 (this section), DDR (this section)
and
CMF (this section).
Wipe, Push, Revl, Hide, Dislv, Cut, Roll, Crwl and DDR
are available to buffers
1, 2, and 3. Dislv, Wipe1, Push1
and
CMF are also available to buffers 1, 2, and 3, but only
on systems equipped with Extended Effects Frame Buff-
ers (EEFB’s).
CMF requires special SCSI Express
EEFB’s.
Wipe and Fade are available to Mix. To select
an Effect Type:
[ ] 1. Place the cursor on the
Type field in the
desired buffer or
Mix row.
[ ] 2. Use the
SPACE BAR or click to toggle to the
desired Effect Type; or type the first letter of
the Effect Type. In the cases where more than
one Effect Types have the same first letter,
repeatedly typing that letter toggles through
the choices.
The variety of available Effect Types and the flexibil-
ity of the system allow you to run more than one
effect simultaneously -- for example, a simultaneous
Roll and Crawl. A DDR clip or CMF animation can
also be played in conjunction with other effects.
