Much of your system’s versatility comes from its exten-
sive Palette capabilities, which can provide up to 16.7
million colors.
The following two icons in the Message Compose main
menu are the gateways to the system color functions.
(
CNTL P) Using the Palette function, choose
colors for the Character body and/or edge, then
load the body/edge colors into the Color Keys.
§10.3 describes these functions.
(
CNTL B) Use the Background function to
create a solid color or gradated Scanline
Background. The Scanline Background can also
be made of solid or gradated blocks of color. If
desired, each scanline may have its own unique
color. §10.5 describes Background functions.
A Palette or Scanline Background can be recorded from
inside the Palette or Background functions or from the
Message Compose main menu. Color is set by adjusting
the levels of either HSI (Hue/ Saturation/ Intensity) or
RGB (Red/Green/Blue) components.
NOTE
If CHYRON graphics generators are
new to you, it’s a good idea to review
§10.2, which describes the basic
principles of HSI and RGB.
