To set up Serial Crawl execution:
[ ] 1. Connect serial line to Port
4.
[ ] 2. Use the
Set Com function in the Program
Loader menu to set Port 4 to match the data
format of the serial line. See §3.6.6 for
information on
Set Com .
To execute a Serial Crawl:
[ ] 1. Select a font and a color for the Serial Crawl.
• Press a
Font Key then a Color Key.
[ ] 2. Press
CNTL or SETUP, then CRAWL to enter
the Crawl Control Buffer.
[ ] 3. If desired, enter a
Speed command (S) in Step
0. If no speed is entered, the default speed of
3 is used for the entire Crawl. However, the
user may select a new speed at the keyboard
while the Crawl is running. See §9.4.2.4 for
more information on Crawl speed.
[ ] 4. Press
X.
NOTE
This command must be entered as
either Step 0 in the Crawl Control
Buffer List, or Step 1 immediately
following a Speed command.
Do not
enter a Status command when setting
up a Serial Crawl.
[ ] 5. Press Q to exit the Crawl Control Buffer.
[ ] 6. Press
CRAWL, then have data sent to the Crawl
buffer.
Serial Crawl enabled is displayed in
the Crawl Execution Window.
