Mesg indicates the ID number of the message to be used
in an individual effect when Multiple Effects is executed.
All messages (except for Transform Scripts and Chyron
Motion Files) used in a Multiple Effects execution must
reside in the current message directory in Message Com-
pose, and must be displayable text, RGB messages, Roll
or Crawl messages and/or a DDR message. Message ID
numbers can range from
0000 - 9999.
Additionally, all fonts must be loaded for all messages. It
is recommended that all messages used in a Multiple
Effects operation use the same font load. See §6.6 for
font load procedures.
To set
Mesg:
[ ] 1. Place the cursor on the desired buffer or
Mix
row, in the Mesg column.
[ ] 2. Press
CLR. Enter a Message ID number from
0000 to 9999, then press
.
If you press the
CLR and do not enter an ID
number, the
Mesg field is set to blank. When
the Mix Effect is executed, it transitions to a
blank screen.
If no message exists at that address,
XXXX
NOT FOUND
is displayed on the Prompt Line,
and the
Mesg field remains blank.
If
Mix is active, but its Mesg field is blank, a Mix Effect
between buffers assigned to CHANNEL A and CHAN-
NEL B executes when Multiple Effects is executed.
If
Mix is activated, and the Mesg field contains a mes-
sage ID number, a Mix Effect between the buffers
assigned to CHANNEL A and CHANNEL B execute
