If XXXX FONT FILE NOT FOUND (where XXXX is the
Machine Font ID number) appears on the Prompt Line, it
indicates that a font used to create the message is not cur-
rently loaded into a Font Key. The Prompt Line still indi-
cates that the message has been read.

If the system is equipped with extended effects Frame
Buffers (EEFB’s), it is possible to read a message into the
foreground or background buffer. Using the
READ func-
tion as described above automatically reads a message
into the Foreground buffer. To read a message into the
background buffer:
[ ] 1. If necessary, press
CNTL ALT ERASE to clear
the Background buffer.
[ ] 2. Press
CLR, then enter the selected message ID
number using the Address Keypad.
[ ] 3. Press
CNTL ALT READ.

A screen offset can now be specified for all RGB mes-
sage reads by pressing
CNTL ALT 2 while in the Message
Compose main menu. An
X and/or Y pixel offset can be
specified and these values are retained in battery backed-
up memory. The
XY offset is applied each time ALT
READ
is used to read an RGB file.
