A Multiple Effects message containing a CMF or a JPEG,
and a trigger command can be programmed into a Func-
tion Key as usual.
The last frame of a CMF or JPEG remains on screen
when execution is complete.
To erase the CMF:
Make the buffer active, then press
ESC or ERASE.
To erase the JPEG:
Press
CNTL ALT ESC.
To halt CMF execution:
Press
CNTL. The current frame of the CMF remains
on screen. Other effects will continue to execute.
To halt JPEG execution:
Press
CNTL ALT ESC. Note that if other effects are
executing at the time
CNTL ALT ESC is pressed, the
JPEG may not stop. If this occurs, wait until the
effects are complete before pressing
CNTL ALT ESC.
When the JPEG halts, the buffer is cleared.

A CMF animation or JPEG can be set up via an Intelli-
gent Interface Read Effects command, then executed
using an Effects trigger command. See §4.8.1.3 Read
Effects - CMF & JPEG (V\0 - V\2) and §4.8.6 Triggering
Effects (V\6) in the Intelligent Interface Option Hand-
book, Pub. No. 2A01989 for complete details.
