• When a channel specifies the same frame
buffer as a higher priority channel, it is
ignored.
• A frame buffer that is not assigned in the
Mix menu is ignored.
If, after executing the merge, the following is
displayed on the Prompt Line:
PLEASE SELECT CURRENT FRAME
BUFFER
OR...
AT LEAST 2 FRAME BUFFERS MUST BE
SELECTED TO MERGE.
• Exit RGB Tools, then enter the Mix menu
and set the buffers as required.
Frame buffer contents cannot be merged on systems with
only one available frame buffer, e.g. one-buffer MAX!>
systems or iNFiNiT! systems whose remaining buffer(s)
are dedicated elsewhere. If an attempt is made to exe-
cute, the following message is displayed on the Prompt
Line:
AT LEAST 2 FRAME BUFFERS MUST BE SELECTED
TO MERGE.
To exit the Merge Frame Buffers menu:
• Press
Q or select Quit.

This function is available only to systems equipped with
Extended Effects Frame Buffers (EEFB’s) or CLYPS
Capable Frame Buffers (CCFBs).
The Merge Foreground/Background function combines
RGB and alpha for images in the Foreground and Back-
ground buffers of an Extended Effects Frame buffer
