This section covers more advanced format adjustments,
as well as the actual creation and editing of messages
using Message Compose.

Display the Message Compose main menu on the
Prompts Monitor. The Edit Monitor should display only
the Safe Title Box and the cursor.
To set the cursor to the size of the currently selected font:
• Press
ERASE. All rows are erased to the currently
selected font size.
Type a few characters. If
FONT NOT LOADED appears
when you try to type, no font is loaded into that Font Key.
Check the
Font in Use or Fonts Loaded boxes in the
Message Compose main menu to see if fonts are loaded.
You can also enter the Font Load Utility (
CNTL F) and
press
F, or select the Fonts Loaded icon to check if any
Machine Fonts are loaded.
The default Safe Title Box is 80% full screen, though its
size can be adjusted. In addition, the Safe Title Box and
cursor images can be turned on or off.
Once text is on the Edit Monitor, it can be moved,
deleted, aligned left or right, squeezed, expanded, or cen-
tered. The font or color of existing text can also be
changed.
