If you shift text to overlap characters, the most
recently typed character is treated as the top charac-
ter.
If you shift text to overlap rows, the row with the
highest row number (usually the last-typed row) will
be on top.
If the text in the two swapped rows is overlapped, the
overlap priority is also swapped.

The blank space between characters or rows can be
increased or decreased to fine tune a display. Squeeze
and Expand can bring characters or rows closer or push
them further apart.
Kerning refers to the space adjustment between charac-
ters. Inter-Row Spacing refers to the space adjustment
between rows.
Super Shift can be used with Squeeze or Expand
to make
text moves in larger increments (§7.8.6).
