If you want to erase the text in the Tab fields, but want to
keep the Flash Font(s) assigned to the Tab field(s):
[ ] 1. Press
COLOR FONT while the cursor is in
each of the Tab fields containing a Flash Font.
[ ] 2. Press
CNTL ERASE. One Flash Font character
in each field is saved.

Whenever you leave the tab field and then re-enter it,
there is no need to clear the existing text. Start typing the
first new character of text, and the old text is automati-
cally erased.
To activate
Auto Erase:
• Press
T or select the Auto Erase icon.
Auto Erase is generally used when setting up Tab mes-
sages for use with Intelligent Interface. A screen with
defined tabs and sample text can be created, and then
recorded to disk. If the tab fields are Auto Erase enabled,
the sample data is replaced by Intelligent Interface data
when the message is read back.
T appears after the field number in the Setup window
when Auto Erase is activated.
