HSI is a three-component method of creating colors. By
adjusting
HUE, SAT (saturation), and INT (intensity) lev-
els using the Palette on the Color Edit Monitor, 16.7 mil-
lion colors can be created. As
HUE, SAT and INT levels
are adjusted, the system automatically adjusts RGB val-
ues as well and vice-versa.
RGB is also a three-component method of creating color.
The difference is that the levels of
RED, GRN (green) and
BLUE components are adjusted to create the color. As
RED, GRN and BLUE levels are adjusted, the system
automatically adjusts HSI values as well and vice-versa.
In any adjustment, numeric levels appear above all indi-
cators for easy resetting to an exact value.
